Felt Hydrangea Brooch

Felted blue pink hydrangea flower brooch, pin with beads hand made by using wet felting process from extra fine merino wool, silk and viscose fiber and decorated with beads. Featuring detailed, multicolored felted petals in shades of blue and pink, this charming accessory is perfect for jackets, bags, or hats.

In the wet felting process, hot water and soap are applied to layers of wool roving, while repeated agitation and compression causes the fibers to hook together or weave together into a single piece of fabric. Felt from wool is considered to be the oldest known textile. Viscose and silk fiber added to wool roving for for the flexibility, shine, luxury of fabric.
