Handcrafted Blue Textured Scarf

Unique artistic shawl with ocean inspired patterns

$175.00

Nuno Felted Blue Art Wrap Shawl Scarf hand made by using wet felting process from extra fine merino wool roving,  margilan silk fabric,  silk fiber,  viscose fiber, one of the kind, featuring intricate wave-inspired patterns that create a striking visual effect.

In the wet felting process, hot water and soap are applied to layers of wool roving, while repeated agitation and compression causes the fibers to hook together or weave together into a single piece of fabric. Felt from wool is considered to be the oldest known textile. Nuno felting is the process of felting wool roving into another fabric (silk).

"Nuno" is a Japanese word for cloth or fabric. I used margilan silk gauze rarefied.

The scarf is lightweight, warm and soft. The rich blue hue complements a variety of outfits, making it the perfect statement accessory for any season. Meticulously crafted with attention to detail, this scarf offers a soft, luxurious feel and a unique artistic flair. Ideal for both casual and formal occasions. Add a touch of elegance and individuality to your wardrobe with this one-of-a-kind piece.

Measures: length 98" (240cm), width 16" (42cm) approx.

Please note: Colors may vary slightly in person due to monitor differences.

Care instruction:

Wool is a unique organic fiber and has a self-cleaning ability but you can wash scarf when it necessary.

To keep the scarf beautiful, you hand wash it in in slightly warm water (30C 86F) with hair shampoo and delicate garment detergent (such as Woolite). Soak scarf in warm water than raise it carefully without shaking it. Do not change the water temperature when you rinse out the soap. (If you wash it in hot water the item may shrink further), squeeze the water out (wrap it up into a towel). Reshape with hands while damp. Do not tumble dry. lay flat to dry.
