Handcrafted Felted Wool Poncho with eco fur OOAK

Handcrafted Felted Wool Poncho with eco fur hand made by using wet felting process from extra fine merino wool, margilan silk gauze rarefied, silk fiber, viscose fiber, shetland fleece, wool nepps, yarn and different wool raw fleeces for fur.

In the wet felting process, hot water and soap are applied to layers of wool roving, while repeated agitation and compression causes the fibers to hook together or weave together into a single piece of fabric. Felt from wool is considered to be the oldest known textile.

No animal was harmed, fur is made of sheared shetland fleece, teeswater, border leicester, BFL  fleeces.

Care instruction: Wool is a unique organic fiber and has a self-cleaning ability but you can wash poncho when it necessary. To keep the poncho beautiful, you hand wash it in in slightly warm water (30C 86F) with hair shampoo and delicate garment detergent (such as Woolite). Soak poncho in warm water than raise it carefully without shaking it. Do not change the water temperature when you rinse out the soap. (If you wash it in hot water the item may shrink further), squeeze the water out (wrap it up into a towel). Reshape with hands while damp. Do not tumble dry, lay flat to dry.
