Red felted flower brooch, pin hand made by using wet felting process from extra fine merino wool, silk fiber, viscose fiber. 

In the wet felting process, hot water and soap are applied to layers of wool roving, while repeated agitation and compression causes the fibers to hook together or weave together into a single piece of fabric. Felt from wool is considered to be the oldest known textile. Silk, viscose fiber added to wool roving for for the flexibility, shine, luxury of fabric.

Measurements approx. 4.5x3.5 flower head plus stem.
