Red poppy felted flower brooch pin, wool red flower hand made by using wet felting process from fine merino wool, viscose fiber, silk fiber and decorated with delicate beads for a hint of sparkle and texture.

In the wet felting process, hot water and soap are applied to layers of wool roving, while repeated agitation and compression causes the fibers to hook together or weave together into a single piece of fabric. Felt from wool is considered to be the oldest known textile. Silk and viscose fiber added to wool roving for for the flexibility, shine, luxury of fabric.
